This policy covers societies using SAHKAR (sahkar.in and its sub-domains), their staff and members, and visitors to our website. The service is provided by Sosa Ventures Private Limited.
Society details and staff logins; member details entered by the society (name, address, mobile, KYC documents, accounts, loans and transactions); login times, IP address and change logs; details you send through forms on our website.
Member and accounting data belongs to the society. The society is responsible for that data; we only store and process it on the society's behalf. We do not use or view it except on the society's written instruction or where the law requires.
To run the service, for login and security, to give support, to raise invoices, and to send SMS / WhatsApp / email messages that the society has switched on. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Only with providers needed to run the service: server hosting, Cloudflare (security and speed), and Meta (WhatsApp) or SMS/email providers when the society switches them on. With government authorities when there is a lawful order.
https encryption, encrypted passwords, role-based rights, login attempt limits, change logs and regular backups. No method on the internet is 100% secure; users must keep their passwords secret.
For as long as the service runs and as long as co-operative law and audits require. Data is not deleted automatically when a plan ends; on written request we hand over a full download and then delete it.
We use only the cookies needed for login sessions and language choice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Members should contact their society to see, correct or remove their information; the society can contact us. We respond to requests as required by applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
